There are a lot of ways to earn an income online. Most are difficult, require lots of tactics and strategy or they cost money to start up. The easiest way to start making money online is to set up a few dozen autofeed sites using simple concepts such as Adf.ly as the basis. Some people dislike this shortening service because of the five second wait time. However, these types of shorteners are vital to using twitter without spamming the same old tired twitter link shorteners such as bit.ly.
There are several other methods of earning an income through url shortening but today we will focus on the most basic set-it-and-forget it style to earn money from home with adf.ly While set-it-and-forget it is simple please understand that what you are about to do, while not complex, will find the best results if you actually utilize Twitter or Facebook properly as a social site on top of allowing for autoposting of news feed content.
The most effective means of earning money through this service will be to create Twitter accounts. I specify multiple accounts primarily due to the fact that initially you may not know exactly what to choose as a niche. Some will work better than others.
Adfly will pay between $1 - as much as $8 per 1000 clicks on a link shortened by their service. This is not that much incrementally but once you have hundreds, if not thousands of links floating around the Internet you'll see the clicks pick up. Example: You create ten Twitter accounts, ten Facebook fan pages, and ten blogs that are all automatically updated with adfly links. You decide that ten is a magic number so you update each with ten posts (links) per day. That's three hundred links per day. Someone, somewhere, is going to click at least one of those links.
I personally prefer 25 posts per day spread out throughout the day. That makes it 750 posts per day. This process is largely automated but I do caution you to actually interact on these sites as well. You will be considered unimportant, and an auto-scrapping bot otherwise. Getting the label of fake account on any of these sites will not help and you'll possibly lose all your links on one, if not all, sites.
If you want an example of a site I created on 08/18/2013 here is a Twitter link: Feel free to follow! Informed Gamerz
The important thing to remember when auto-blogging and auto-tweeting through adf.ly is that the people who visit these blogs and concepts want interesting information. If you provide that information through quality blog feeds then you will build notoriety as a redirection service if nothing else.
Try to sprinkle in a few of your own original posts, retweet other people, link to other Facebook fanpages, but keep things on topic. This is vital to presenting an actual appearance that you are part of the site and do interact.
Anything can be used as a link for ADFLY purposes. Even popular websites. It is not the destination that matters. It is the link! Even photos can be used, consider the following:
Notice that the above picture link leads to Gamespot.com. This would be a relevant link for the photo and it provides income without forcing people to watch an interstitial. This does not pay as much as the interstitial but you go right to the actual page with no wait. This can be important! Try sprinkling these sorts of links into your blog posts, personally crafted tweets, and such.
Now, with all of that having been said we will work today on creating an auto-feed for Twitter. Facebook no longer accepts adf.ly directly because people were being spammy and did not offer anything of value. However, there is a simple work around. Connect your Twitter to a Facebook page of choice. This will allow the links to be posted anyway.

You'll no doubt note that this photo link leads to a site (Twitter) that doesn't allow for information to be placed in frames. Be sure to check links when creating links. Sometimes it works, other times it does not. If you find that a link won't let you use a framed banner then just go with the higher paying interstitial. Let's try the photo thing again with Samus Aran from Metroid.

Alright: Step by Step Automatic ADFLY Income
Step One:
Step One:
The very first step to earning money with ADFLY is to actually join the site! ADFLY is a link shortening service that presents an advertisement whenever someone clicks on the link provided. After five seconds they can skip the ad and go to the location you linked. Simple enough, eh? Please be aware that some people will not like being presented an add. This is why you need to interact on your various sites. If anyone asks you can simply tell them that you chose to use this sort of linking over other methods that would look garish on the site. You are trying to cover costs of running your blog, site, etc. This is possibly even true as this is how I use ADF.LY.
Once you join ADF.LY or if you had joined previously it will be time for step two.
Step Two:
Create a twitter account in a popular niche that interests you. Popular interests can be sports, earning money from home, blogging, underwear, whatever you want. That Twitter account will be solely about that niche. Do not dilute the content by providing constant unrelated information. This is important. You want people to come back and be interested in what you have to say.
You need to use a separate e-mail address for each Twitter account. I suggest you use something like yahoo unless you have a website with lots of free e-mail accounts to use. Even then a throw away account is best. Yahoo will take pretty much anyone who signs up so use them frequently for now. I further suggest that you make he email account match the name you intend to choose for the Twitter account, or close enough to it to remember it easily.
Once the Twitter account is set up and ready to go it will be time for content. I suggest that you spend a few minutes locating a pleasant picture for your avatar on Twitter. Fill out necessary information. If you have a blog that you plan to associate this account with then put the website link on the page in the profile section.
Now, write ten tweets associated with your niche. If you feel like ten is too much for you then search out people in the same niche and retweet them four or five times and then tweet about six times. Use hashtags # relevant to your niche in your posts. Always do this! Hashtags are keywords that are used as internal linking on Twitter. They provide related tweet information from other Tweeters.
I suggest that several of these tweets include photos that you find and upload from the internet. Please check to see if they are legal to use in this manner. Google images, for instance, has a content licensing filter. Check for it under their advance searches option. Anything that says that you can re-use the photo, especially commercial reuse, is gold.
Barring this you can just go to YouTube and search out related videos that you can automatically associate to your Twitter. You'll have lots of useful content that people might actually want to see. Continue to do this even when you start posting Adfly links. You'll become known for providing awesome information or links soon. More people will take a chance on your adfly links too.
Step Three:
Sign up for an auto-tweeting website. Twitterfeed.com is a very good one. In fact, we'll use that one. Once you have joined this site it will be time to add in your first feed. Go to Google and search out your niche + rss. If you chose lingerie then it would be a Google, Bing, etc. search for "lingerie rss".
Seek out the top blogs in that niche, try "top ten lingerie blogs rss". Look for their rss feed. Often this will look like a little orange square with three or four arcing lines. Anything that mentions an rss feed is likely to be their feed link. Hover your cursor over the link, right click, then copy link address.
Go back to Twitterfeed.com and create a new feed. If you look on the create a feed page you'll see the little orange square I mentioned. Paste the link in the box next to it. Now click on the little button next to this line that says "test rss feed". If it says something about being parsed correctly and gives you a green check mark then the feed is good.
Now go down to where it says advanced settings or features. Click that link. You'll see a huge number of options. At this point there are only a few you need to worry about. Choose how often that the site will tweet for you, The most often is 30 minutes. The most tweets at a time is 5. I would choose 30 minutes and 5 for your first feed. Please be advised that if the blog has nothing to update then it won't tweet anything new after 30 minutes.
The next part is how we get your adfly links onto your Twitter. Go down to where it says "Shorten Link Through". Click on the box and scroll down to custom. Now go back to adfly. Go to your dashboard and click on tools. Now look to your left and click on api documentation.
You should see something like this: http://api.adf.ly/api.php?key=???????????&uid=???????&advert_&domain=adf.ly&url=http://somewebsite.com
The question marks will not appear in your own API documentation. There will be numbers relating to your account in their place. Copy and paste your entire api link (the entire thing above as shown on your specific adfly account) into the custom endpoint box on Twitterfeeds.
Alright, we are almost done now. You will need to tailor your link just a little in order to make it work right with Twitter. Edit your link so that it will look like this:
http://api.adf.ly/api.php?key=???????????&uid=???????&domain=adf.ly&url=%@
What exactly was changed?
http://api.adf.ly/api.php?key=???????????&uid=???????&advert_&domain=adf.ly&url=http://somewebsite.com
Now all you have to do is scroll down and click on the box that says continue to step 2.
Make certain that you are logged into YOUR Twitter account for this niche. It has to be the account you want the blog feeds to run through!
Click on the box that says oauthenticate twitter. It should be blue. Authorize the app to post for you. Make sure your Twitter account is selected in the box above afterward. Now scroll to the bottom and tell it that you're done. Do this again unless you want to fiddle with anything. Now, wait and check your Twitter to see if anything was uploaded.
Repeat this process as many times as you like, but go slow at first. Now that you have your money train set up all you need to do is use Twitterfeed to add in new blogs to auto-tweet. I'd suggest you set it so that you make around twenty five tweets per day spaced out over several hours at first. Ratchet it up or down as you see fit by editing your settings. Make around the same number of tweets personally on your Twitter, maybe two or three an hour. This is more important in the beginning.
If you seem to be having trouble attracting followers you may try sites or programs such as Twiends, or Tweetattack. Any follow for points style service works to get initial followers. Typically you can receive dozens of followers each day from this. The income you earn initially will be practically non-existent. However, as your follower numbers increase the clicks will come. It could take a while but honestly, the hard part can be done in around ten to fifteen minutes. Anything after that is tweets and tweaks.
Try Adf.ly and give this a shot!
